Summer League Recap: Blazers Hold Off Wizards, 82-80

It’s another good night for the Blazers, who won a close one against Alex Sarr and the Washington Wizards, 82-80.

Both teams had a slow start offensively. Donovan Clingan had the first points of the game on a layup two minutes into the contest, but neither team scored again until over four minutes had been played. The Wizards took control of the game after finally getting their offense jumpstarted to go on a 12-2 run to take a 12-6 lead with three minutes to play in the first quarter.

Late in the first quarter and throughout the second quarter, Portland and Washington went back and forth without either team gaining too much of an advantage.
