The Trail Blazers relied on heroic performances on the offensive and defensive end in Monday’s thrilling 112-111 win over the Raptors. Portland’s defense, that has registered in the bottom third of the NBA for the majority of the season, set the stage for the Blazers’ comeback against the Raptors.
After the game, The Oregonian’s Aaron Fentress highlighted coach Terry Stotts’ comments. Stotts made it a point to praise Portland’s overall effort in his postgame availability—a far cry from his remarks after last week’s loss to the Bulls.
“We showed some grit, we showed some toughness, we were a little (angry),” Stotts said.
