The Trail Blazers’ 123-111 win over the Hornets featured the end of two cold streaks: Portland’s four-game slide and Robert Covington’s shooting struggles. In the victory, the former Rockets forward notched a season-high 21 points thanks to a 5-of-7 shooting mark from beyond the arc.
After the game, Covington’s solid performance garnered recognition from coach Terry Stotts. Those comments were highlighted by The Oregonian’s Aaron Fentress.
“Robert was player of the game,” Blazers coach Terry Stotts said. “He did a little bit of everything. … I’m pretty sure this was his best game as a Blazer.
