Anfernee Simons of the Portland Trail Blazers is slated to participate in the NBA All-Star Game Dunk Contest, and Spud Webb, who won the competition in 1986 in front of his hometown crowd, knows how winning the contest can change the shape of players’ future careers. According to Tim Reynolds of AP, Webb is looking forward to seeing how the young players in this year’s competition display their talents.
“Hopefully, these guys put on a show for everybody and leave them talking,” Webb said. “I guess that’s really what it’s all about.
