As the Trail Blazers' 4-4 indicates, the 2015-16 season has been a mixed bag of highs and lows in Portland through the first eight games. It's undeniable, however, that one of the main bright spots in Rip City so far has been CJ McCollum picking up right where he left off after a 33-point performance in Game Five of the Western Conference Playoffs last season.
McCollum is averaging 20.9 points per game on 41.7% shooting from three-point range, with outbursts of 37 and 27 points in a pair of Portland victories. In his prior two seasons as a pro, the 23 year old's career average was just 6.
