The designation of Portland Trail Blazers center minutes has been a point of debate since the franchise took Donovan Clingan with the seventh overall pick in June. Clingan, Deandre Ayton and Robert Williams III are all in line to get minutes at the pivot on the rebuilding roster.
Just 13 games into the season, Ayton has started all the games he’s played in averaging 29.3 minutes, Williams is playing 18.0 minutes and Clingan is at 15.8. On Wednesday night and in his second career start, Clingan put up 17 points, 12 rebounds and 8 blocks in 31 minutes against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
