The Athletic’s Jason Quick still thinks Portland Trail Blazers guard Shaedon Sharpe is due for a big year, even with his latest injury setback.
In a piece published Monday, The Athletic staff delivered bold predictions about each NBA team for the 2024-25 season. During Quick’s turn, he circled Sharpe by predicting the 6-foot-6 guard “becomes a household name.” Quick noted Sharpe’s recent shoulder injury, but he was still optimistic Sharpe will have enough time to take a big leap this season.
Shaedon Sharpe becomes a household name: In this third season, the 21-year-old shooting guard will win the slam dunk contest at All-Star Weekend (book it) and will lead the Blazers in scoring.
