The Trail Blazers, through a combination of crisp ball movement, accurate three-point shooting and a well-executed defensive game plan, the Trail Blazers managed to defeat the Nuggets in Game 1 of the three-six first round playoff matchup Saturday night in Denver. But while it was a great start to their postseason, they’ll need a similar effort, and perhaps even a better one, in order to take a commanding lead in the series before heading back to Portland.
“Momentum can be fleeting in a playoff series,” said Trail Blazers head coach Terry Stotts. “The swing, after a won or after a loss, the narrative switches whenever a team wins or loses.
