Scoot Struggles, Camara Shines in Blazers’ Preseason Opener

Portland Trail Blazers guard Scoot Henderson’s night began with a turnover.

On the first play of Portland’s 101-99 preseason-opening loss against the LA Clippers in Seattle Friday, Henderson tried to squeeze a bounce pass into the lane that didn’t make it through. Two plays later, Clippers forward Derrick Jones Jr. picked Henderson’s pocket and took the ball the other way. The opening sequence was a bad omen for the rest of the night.

The second-year guard finished with 13 points, four rebounds, three assists and seven turnovers in 30 minutes, while shooting 4-16 from the field and 1-6 from the 3-point line.
