Portland Trail Blazers second-year guard Scoot Henderson has been selected for the NBA Rising Stars Game for the fourth consecutive year, according to the NBA. Neither Blazers rookie Donovan Clingan nor second-year player Toumani Camara were selected.
Henderson is curiously making his fourth appearance - this time in the NBA sophomores pool - despite being a second-year NBA player after having played twice as part of the G-League Ignite.
Also selected was Bryce McGowens of the Rip City Remix who joined six others on the G-League team.
The All-Star Weekend event features three pools of players (NBA Rookies, NBA sophomores, and NBA G-League players), and being selected to a pool doesn’t necessarily guarantee a spot in the final Rising Stars Game.
