Rockets Comfortably Dispatch Blazers, 116-88

The Portland Trail Blazers got steadily beat down Friday night against the Houston Rockets, losing by a final score of 116-88. The game turned into a laugher before the third quarter ended, as Portland head coach Chauncey Billups emptied the deep bench for the final 12 minutes.

The Blazers’ NBA Cup Magical Fairy Dust wore off in the team’s second Cup game on the road, replaced by a painful number of missed jumpers, lots of turnovers and a villainous/accurate performance from Dillon Brooks. The blowout loss puts Portland at 1-1 in Cup play, and the lopsided point differential isn’t going to do them any favors.
