Portland Trail Blazers center Robert Williams III has joined the injury report as questionable with an illness ahead of the Blazers’ game tonight against the Miami Heat.
Williams appeared in the afternoon updates of the NBA’s official injury report list after the Blazers originally listed only Deandre Ayton as questionable, and both Jerami Grant and Matisse Thybulle as out.
If neither Williams nor Ayton play, the Blazers will be left with Donovan Clingan to start at center and will likely lean on Jabari Walker and Duop Reath for backup minutes. Clingan is coming off his first double-double with 11 points and 11 boards since suffering a knee injury in November, and his 24 minutes last game were the most he’s played since late November.
