The Blazers held two press conferences over the past two days since the completion of the NBA Draft. First, General Manager Joe Cronin talked to the press after the second round of the draft concluded Thursday.
Most of Cronin’s press conference was the usual equivalent of “we got the guy we wanted” that every team says after they draft a player. But there was one noticeable change: When discussing the future of the Blazers, Cronin solely focused on building around Scoot Henderson and Shaedon Sharpe. No mention was made of Anfernee Simons, Deandre Ayton, or Jerami Grant.
