In a game that felt like the definition of “Preseason contest”, the Portland Trail Blazers fell short in the final seconds, losing to the LA Clippers 101-99. The Blazers were without Anfernee Simons, Deni Avdija, Shaedon Sharpe, Matisse Thybulle, and Robert Williams. The Clippers were without Kawhi Leonard, and some of their rotational players sat in the second half. Many casual viewers wouldn’t have recognized either team at times.
The Blazers were led in scoring by Toumari Camara’s 19 points with 9 rebounds, followed by Jerami Grant’s 15 points and 1 steal. Scoot Henderson added 12 points, but shot 4-16 from the field, including 1-6 from three.
