After a cozy three-game homestand that passed through Christmas, the will begin the new year with a brutal seven-game road trip that spans almost two weeks.
Beginning Monday with a matchup against the Phoenix Suns, the road-running Trail Blazers will subsequently face the Dallas Mavericks twice, the Brooklyn Nets, the New York Knicks and the Oklahoma City Thunder, before closing the trip with a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Jan. 12.
The seven-game trip against primarily playoff-caliber teams is a tough shift for a Portland team that played nine of 14 games in December at the Moda Center.
