It was a tough week for the Portland Trail Blazers, especially those taller than 6-9.
While the 2019-20 Trail Blazers were always going to be a bit shorthanded at power forward and center with Jusuf Nurkiu0107 working his way back from a broken left leg, the hope was that Hassan Whiteside, Zach Collins, Pau Gasol and Skal Labissiere could make due until the "Bosnian Beast" returns some time in 2020, but then Whiteside suffered a bone bruise in his left knee, it was announced that Collins would undergo surgery to repair a left shoulder injury and Gasol still hasn't been cleared for full contact after a procedure on his left foot at the end of last season.
