ORLANDO -- The Trail Blazers didn’t have to wait long for their newest acquisition to make an impact.
Norman Powell, who Portland acquired from Toronto in the final hours before Thursday’s trade deadline, put up 22 points in his debut to help the Trail Blazers defeat the Magic 112-105 Friday night at the Amway Center in Orlando.
“To be honest, it’s what I expected,” said Trail Blazers head coach Terry Stotts. “(Powell) know how to play the game, he plays the way we play, he moves well without the ball, he shoots threes, he defends, he’s in shape.
