The 2013 NBA Draft was a night Portland Trail Blazers fans will never forget, as it was the night they made the bold decision to draft CJ McCollum, a high-powered offensive guard that didn’t give much on the defensive end and made for a questionable fit next to Damian Lillard.
Obviously, those original critics sure look silly now as McCollum has thrived in Portland. He has averaged above 20 points per game on above average efficiency in four consecutive seasons now. His efforts have also earned him the 2015-16 Most Improved Player Award, one that is surely the first of many other accolades.
