To put it mildly: the Portland Trail Blazers are going through a rough patch.
They’ve lost five consecutive games, most recently to the San Antonio Spurs in a nail-biter on Friday that ended in defeat 118-116. The Blazers want to right the ship and get back into the win column, but to do that means defeating a formidable Phoenix Suns team.
Expect the Blazers to enter the game with energy. Regardless of the intentions of the front office, these young players want to win. Star rookie Donovan Clingan has returned from injury which gives Portland a boost, and they’ll want to get him involved and allow him every defensive opportunity to disrupt the Suns’ high-octane offense.
