LAS VEGAS— Jake Layman had some jitters before his summer league debut with the Portland Trail Blazers.
"Of course," Layman said, admitting he was nervous prior to his first game as a professional. "Who wouldn't be?"
With three games under his belt, Layman is starting to settle into what the Blazers want from him, allowing him to focus on playing basketball not controlling his nerves.
"I'm feeling a lot more comfortable now," he said on Tuesday following the Blazers' win over the Utah Jazz. "I'm in the offense. I've got the defensive schemes.
