Although CJ McCollum is entering his seventh season in the league, he has yet to partake in the NBA’s annual All-Star weekend in February. The Portland Trail Blazers are surely no stranger to being snubbed from All-Star Game, where the top twelve players in each conference get put into a draft system and the top select their team from the player pool as team captains.
McCollum has now averaged over 20 points a game for four seasons straight on a team that has qualified for the playoffs in each year. CJ’s numbers have always been on par for the course and they will likely continue to be at an All-Star level which makes me believe that the only real way to get McCollum into the All-Star Game is through team success in an ultra-competitive Western Conference.
