Portland Trail Blazers fall to San Antonio Spurs, 85-69, in summer league

LAS VEGAS— The Portland Trail Blazers dropped their second straight game at NBA Summer League, falling 85-69 to the San Antonio Spurs.

Recently acquired point guard Shabazz Napier and recently released big man Cliff Alexander both made their summer league debuts and were inserted into the starting lineup.

Alexander is a free agent after the Blazers placed him on waivers on Friday. He finished with four points and two rebounds in 17 minutes.

The Blazers suffered through another slow start, scoring just eight points in the first quarter, but the offense looked significantly more fluid than it had in the opening game loss to Phoenix.
