The Portland Trail Blazers have gone as the team’s bench has gone so far in the 2018-19 season. At one point during the team’s 10-3 start, the bench group was ranked second in the NBA in scoring. The bench play dropped up significantly afterward and the team’s record followed with Portland losing 10 of the next 15 games following the strong start.
In fact, the win against the Raptors Friday night is almost exactly what the Blazers needed. The frustrations from the recent struggles were beginning to get dangerously high. A strong team win against one of the best rosters in basketball certainly helps ease some tension in Rip City.
