By Casey Holdahl- Being traded midseason posses a host of issues. From an on-court perspective, it can be difficult to integrate into a new system without the benefit of a training camp, or even consistent practice time. And from an off-court perspective, being traded midseason usually means you’ll be spending the remainder of the year living in a hotel in a new city while your family stays behind.
These are both issues Brian Roberts faced when he was acquired by the Trail Blazers from the Miami Heat in exchange for cash considerations and a 2021 second round pick.
