Today’s Olympic events feature the two semifinal games in the men’s basketball tournament. The two winning teams will face each other Saturday to decide the Gold/Silver medals, and the two losing teams also meet Saturday, with the winner taking the Bronze.
This year’s matchups feature some of the best of the NBA, as always. Beyond the stars of Team USA, the hometown France team features Victor Wembanyama and and former Blazer Nicolas Batum. Serbia features NBA MVP Nikola Jokic, and Team Germany features, well, Dennis Schroder and Franz Wagner. But they’re the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup winners, beating Serbia in the championship game.
