Earlier this month, Portland Trail Blazers guard Norman Powell signed a $90 million deal over the next five seasons. Now, he’s shifted his focus towards the ultimate goal: helping guide the Blazers to an NBA championship. In a recent story from Aaron Fentress of The Oregonian, the versatile guard admitted he didn’t think this group was far off.
Powell referred to Portland as his “best fit” and provided his own outlook on the team as follows:
“When you look at how the season ended and where we’re at now with the new coach and new coaching staff and everything that’s left on the table, where we can grow and build,” Powell said.
