Serbian basketball prospect Nikola Topic has a partially-torn ACL, according to his agent via ESPN’s Jonathan Givony. It’s unclear how long they have known the diagnosis, but the information was revealed at the NBA’s international draft combine in Italy. Teams with a top-15 pick will have access to his medical diagnostics.
Topic, a 6’6” point guard, suffered two knee injuries in 2024. He’s expected to travel to the US soon to meet with the NBA’s doctors. If teams meet with him, he won’t be able to do workouts. Topic was projected as a possible top-four pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, but his stock has dropped over the past month.
