After enjoying one of the best statistical seasons of his NBA career, free-agent-to-be Nicolas Batum appears set to re-sign with the Charlotte Hornets.
According to a recent FIBA.com report, Batum would like wrap up the free agency process quickly and agree to a new deal with the Hornets so may participate in the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament with the French national team this summer.
Batum's agent had previously indicated that his client, a free agent who just had a terrific first season with the Charlotte Hornets, would be in the United States resolving his NBA future and that the paperwork would not be finalized in time for him to play.
