The annual survey of NBA General Managers has revealed admiration for Damian Lillard, but otherwise middling results for the Portland Trail Blazers. Posted on the league’s official website and authored this year by John Schuhmann, the survey polls lead executives of all 30 NBA franchises on their opinions about the upcoming season.
Off the top, 81% of GM’s picked the Los Angeles Lakers to repeat as NBA champions. Schuhmann cites this as the third-highest ratio ever, trailing only the Golden State Warriors between 2017-2019.
The Trail Blazers received no votes for Best Team in the Western Conference, but earned one second-place, one third-place, and eight fourth-place votes.
