The 2018 NBA Draft is less than a week away. With the Portland Trail Blazers holding the 24th overall pick, their course on draft night remains unclear. Should they execute the pick instead of trading it, James Herbert of CBS Sports has a couple of suggestions for them, part of an article listing the biggest draft needs and goals for all 30 NBA franchises.
Herbert tabs Portland’s needs as “playmaking, passing, frontcourt scoring”. He offers this:
The Blazers could do just about anything. Mitchell Robinson would be a nice upside pick here, and guard Khyri Thomas is the rare prospect that should be an above-average defender the moment he walks onto an NBA floor.
