Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum notched 32 points in Tuesday’s victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. Three of those 32 points came in the final moments of the contest—leading to the Celtics’ narrow 116-115 win.
After the game, The Oregonian’s Aaron Fentress highlighted Carmelo Anthony’s praise of Tatum’s late-game heroics.
“Not many people can make that play at that time, that shot, that Tatum did,” Anthony said.
Melo, who recorded a superb 25 points of his own in the contest, also explained that the Blazers’ performance against the Celtics was a sign of improvement.
