The Trail Blazers’ spending spree in the summer of 2016 earned them a re-occurring place inside every pundit’s untradeable contract list. Now, in the aftermath of the Wall-Westbrook, headache-for-headache swap, CJ McCollum popped up at the tail-end of a recent list from HoopsHype.
Yossi Gozlan ranked the top 25 most untradeable NBA contracts and McCollum landed at No. 25. Citing his massive contract extension that runs through the 2023-24 season, Gozlan framed the former Lehigh standout’s place in the rankings.
McCollum has played phenomenally over the past few seasons for the Blazers. He signed a three-year $100 million extension last offseason that still hasn’t kicked in yet.
