Mason Plumlee has been a breath of fresh air. He comes after a string of lumbering giants or undersized players at the center position for Portland. His mobility and ball handling are something rarely seen in a player his size. He crashes the boards relentlessly and always seems to be in the right place at the right time. His energy is infectious and his aggressiveness is inspiring.
His defense is a huge upgrade from last year. Plumlee doesn’t get pushed around on the interior, even though he isn’t by any means the biggest center in the league.
