The Dallas Mavericks will be with without Luka Doncic for at least a month after the five-time All Star suffered a left calf strain on Christmas Day, reports ESPN’s Shams Charania.
The Portland Trail Blazers face the reigning Western Conference champion Mavericks twice over that period, the first which takes place at the Moda Center on Saturday. Portland will also meet Dallas in Texas on January 9.
The Slovenian phenom suffered the injury during the first half of the Mavericks’ loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday.
Doncic, 25, has already missed eight of a possible 30 games this season thanks to a series of injuries, including a right knee contusion, a right wrist sprain and a left heel contusion.
