Portland Trail Blazers guard Anfernee Simons scored the game-winning bucket Saturday night on a driving and-1 finish with 23 seconds remaining against the Milwaukee Bucks. The ensuing free throw put Portland ahead 103-102 and led to the 105-102 road victory.
However, according to the NBA’s Last Two-Minute Report from Saturday’s game, Bucks forward Bobby Portis was incorrectly called for a foul on Simons’ game-winning shot. The report called Portis’ contact on the play “marginal.”
Portis (MIL) jumps along Simons’ (POR) path and makes marginal body contact while defending the shot attempt at the rim.
