Second-year forward Kris Murray has been one of the Portland Trail Blazers players benefitting most from the opportunity opened up by the absence of starting forward Jerami Grant.
Despite Portland’s 119-98 loss against the Miami Heat Saturday, the 6-foot-8 forward continued his recent stretch of solid play off the bench. In 15 minutes, Murray contributed 10 points on 5-7 shooting, while adding three rebounds, two assists, one block and no turnovers.
After Monday’s practice in Tualatin, Murray talked with reporters about what’s been helping him find his rhythm lately. In large part, the answer was simple: stability.
