The Portland Trail Blazers hung with the Sacramento Kings Monday night on the road — at least until midway through the third quarter. At that point, the Kings’ 3-point attack came alive, while Portland remained ice cold.
That difference broke the game open. The Kings went up by as many as 26 before fighting off a brief Blazers’ push to win, 111-98.
Deandre Ayton led the Blazers in scoring with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Scoot Henderson (18 points, five assists) and Jabari Walker (15 points, six rebounds) both provided nice boosts off the bench. On the other side, De’Aaron Fox scored a team-high 24 points, DeMar DeRozan dropped 23 and Kevin Huerter was a Blazer killer from long distance.
