In Bosnia and Herzegovina’s recent FIBA World Cup 2019 European Qualifiers game, Portland Trail Blazers big man Jusuf Nurkic was the nation’s leading scorer and rebounder. He finished with 20 points and nine boards in the 85-81 loss to Finland.
With around six minutes left in the game, Nurkic found himself checking into a 79-58 blowout. From this point on, Bosnia and Herezegovina went on a 23-4 run.
Nurkic recorded ten points, five rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a turnover during his final stint to help his team close the deficit. Unfortunately, his and Bosnia and Herzegovina’s efforts fell just short.
