Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant will return from injury to play against the Portland Trail Blazers Monday evening, according to NBA insider Chris Haynes. Morant missed the last eight games due to a hip subluxation and multiple Grade 1 pelvic muscle strains he sustained in a game on Nov. 6.
Monday’s game in Memphis is the first meeting between the two teams since the Grizzlies pummeled the Blazers, 134-89, at the Moda Center on Nov. 10. The Grizzlies won that game without Morant, Desmond Bane and Marcus Smart. All three of those players are expected to play Monday.
