“Inside the NBA,” TNT’s long-running, popular NBA studio show will air on ESPN and ABC starting next season as part of a settlement between the NBA and Warner Bros. Discovery, the parent company of TNT Sports, according to Andrew Marchand and Jenna West of The Associated Press. Other outlets also reported the news.
Ernie Johnson Jr., Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Shaquille O’Neal are slated to remain on the show next season, the AP reported. TNT Sports will continue to produce “Inside the NBA,” even though it’ll air on different networks.
The AP reported that ESPN and ABC plan to utilize the popular show at key spots in the NBA calendar, and that the settlement included other rights for TNT Sports:
“Inside the NBA” is expected to air during key moments on the league’s calendar — opening night, Christmas Day, the playoffs and the NBA Finals.
