Portland Trail Blazers fans inside Moda Center held their collective breath as Washington Wizards center Marcin Gortat floated a three-foot baby hook at the rim in final seconds in regulation of Tuesday night's game with the score tied at 104. The exhale came when Blazers guard Gerald Henderson sprung from his weak-side position to toss the ball away as the buzzer sounded to force overtime.
"It was a side out-of-bounds play, Jared Dudley got loose and penetrated, kicked it off to Gortat," Henderson recollected the play to reporters afterward. "I had to leave my man and come over and help, and he laid it right up there for me.
