University of Connecticut guard Stephon Castle’s NBA Draft stock has been rising fast since UCONN’s dominant run through the NCAA Tournament. With Castle’s blend of athleticism, talent and size (listed at over 6-foot-5 in socks), he could make an intriguing selection for the Portland Trail Blazers with one of their two lottery picks, even considering their logjam in the backcourt.
However, it appears the projected lottery pick wouldn’t love landing in Portland. According to ESPN’s Jonathan Givony (subscription required), Castle is reportedly turning down workouts with teams that have starting point guards.
