With the triumph, Portland moves to the second round of tournament play where it will welcome a re-match against the Boston Celtics at 7:30 p.m. PT on Thursday night.
New addition Noah Vonleh carried the load in the frontcourt for the Trail Blazers, scoring 16 points and winning 10 rebounds in the win. Malcolm Thomas chipped in 15 points, shooting 5-of-6 from the field.
