Portland Trail Blazers alum Victor Claver announced his retirement on July 1, via his longtime team Valencia. Claver played in Portland from 2012 to 2015, and was a member of the squad who beat the Rockets in the 2014 NBA Playoffs.
EuroHoops provided Claver’s retirement statement, where he thanked everyone and admitted he was no longer physically capable of competing.
It is time to be honest with myself and listen to my body. It has not been an easy decision to make but I am happy to be able to make it at this time that I have chosen.
