The basketball world is giving Kemba Walker his flowers on Tuesday after the four-time All-Star point guard announced his retirement on social media.
Walker, 34, last played in the NBA in the 2022-23 season for nine games with the Dallas Mavericks, but he is perhaps best known for his eight seasons as the Charlotte Bobcats/Hornets starting point guard.
Beyond the NBA, Walker’s greatest basketball achievement came during his junior season at UConn in 2010-11, where he led the Huskies to a Big East title after winning five games in five days. Then, he led his team to a National Championship victory.
