Former Portland Trail Blazers forward Will Barton has signed with the Guangdong Southern Tigers in China, according a report from HoopsHype. Barton played 11 seasons in the NBA after the Blazers selected him 40th overall in the 2012 NBA Draft.
Barton averaged 3.8 points and 1.8 rebounds over 144 appearances for the Blazers at the start of his professional career. In February, 2015, the Blazers packaged Barton—along with teammates Victor Claver and Thomas Robinson and a first-round pick—to the Denver Nuggets for guard Arron Afflalo and forward Alonzo Gee. Barton would go on to become one of the league’s most prized bench scorers, averaging 14.
