ESPN’s Chris Haynes reported Monday morning that Joel Freeland, former Blazer, is eyeing an NBA return:
Freeland’s tenure in Portland lasted three years after he was drafted in 2006. Rather than join Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge, he stayed overseas to “refine his game.”
The big man joined the Blazers in 2012, joining stud rookie Damian Lillard in making their Blazer debuts.
Freeland averaged 3.2 points, 2.3 rebounds and 0.4 assists per game while with Rip City.
He appeared in 151 career games for Portland, and even played in 11 playoff games for the Blazers.
