Former Portland Trail Blazers forward Ime Udoka will interview for the New York Knicks’ head-coaching gig, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. Udoka currently serves as an assistant coach for the Philadelphia 76ers after spending time under Gregg Popovich in San Antonio.
The former Blazers forward is also a lead target for the Chicago Bulls if they move on from current head coach Jim Boylen.
Udoka became a beloved underdog in Portland after earning a contract following a training camp invite ahead of the 2006-07 season.
