Oregon drivers and fans of the Portland Trail Blazers can showcase support for their home team when a specialty vehicle license plate goes on sale September 1, 2016. Created through the passage of Oregon House Bill 2730 and signed into law by Governor Kate Brown, the Trail Blazers plate marks the first for an Oregon professional sports team. All eligible Oregon drivers can purchase a Trail Blazers plate at their local DMV office even if their vehicle registrations are current. There will also be a special order “vanity” option available for the Trail Blazers plate. Amateur Radio Operators may apply for the Trail Blazers plate with their call sign.
