TUALATIN — The Trail Blazers added a mixture of playmaking, ball-handling and perimeter defense when they signed unrestricted free agent Evan Turner to a 4-year, $70 million contract late Wednesday night.
But they also added a little personality.
"I've never had a more enjoyable free agent dinner than I did last night," Neil Olshey, the Blazers' President of Basketball Operations, said Thursday, chuckling. "It was like a night at the Improv."
So it was only fitting that the first words out of Turner's mouth during his introductory news conference were part of a joke.
